Staff Spotlight: Kate, Occupational Therapist

Kate is one of our Occupational Therapist’s in Auckland!

Kate is a published Occupational Therapist featured by New Zealand Registered Association of Occupational Therapy (NZROT) with her evidence-based practice assignment. Prior to completing her bachelor’s degree in OT, she studied Health Science at Otago University and is a trained Circuit Coach.

Always keen on working in the health industry, Kate was first motivated after seeing her brother spend a significant amount of time in and around hospitals during their teenage years. As a Circuit Coach, Kate had the opportunity to work with people who were returning from injury or had ongoing medical conditions. She found it satisfying whenever she helps clients achieve their exercise goals and sees the positive impact it had on their lives.

With Better Days, Kate is able to support more clients — sharing their successes and learning through their lived experiences. She finds the team to be a wealth of knowledge with unlimited growth potential.

Outside her usual work as an OT, Kate is a board member of Blind Sport NZ. She is a fan of athletics and has a particular interest in disability sports.
