Dedicated to making a difference
Our kaupapa is simple. We want to make a positive difference in the lives of New Zealanders living with an injury or disability. We do this by living and breathing the following values in our day-to-day mahi.
The Better Days story
Our story begins in Australia before crossing the Tasman to bring Better Days to New Zealand!
Rachel Brimblecombe, a qualified occupational therapist, was working as a university lecturer when she grew disappointed with the quality of care provided for community allied health.
She envisioned bringing together like-minded allied health professionals dedicated to providing the highest level of care. People who genuinely loved what they did and wanted to achieve outstanding results for the individuals in their care.
After establishing Better Days in Australia, Rachel’s desire to expand this support to New Zealand led her to forming Better Days.
What’s next for Better Days?
Better Days has come a long way since 2021, but we believe there’s a lot more we can accomplish. Lead by our National Manager and passionate Kaiwhakaora Tinana / Physiotherapist, Allyson Duffy, her goal is to empower people to reach their full potential, with evidence-based and person-centred strategies.
No matter how big we grow or what side of the ditch we are on, we continue to be guided by the values that have driven us from the very beginning. We will always provide people-centred and community-based services tailored to the needs of the people in our care. We continue to champion their choices and provide them with the attention and care that they deserve.
